EVIL-SIREN
INTERVIEW
When did you start cosplaying and for how long?
Well, in 2006 my friends and I started to make our own Zelda OoT spoof. My twinsister and I sewed all the costumes for it in 4 or 5 days. Wow our motivation was really scary that time, hehe. Okay the costumes weren't that perfect but our intention was that you can still recognize the character. It was a lot of work but it was great fun.
After that we made our second fanmovie. It's a spoof for all Resident Evil Games. This time the costumes were a lot better compared to our first movie because we needed about 2 weeks to finish them all.
In summer 2007 my twinsister, my best friend and I decided to visit our first Anime and Manga convention in Austria. It was so much fun that we planed our costumes for the next convention. So at this time I really started to cosplay.
Which one is your favourite cosplay?
Hard to tell, I really love all my costumes, because I put a lot of work into them.
They are all very unique and special in their own way, because I cosplay so many different characters. (most of them are calm, smart and very friendly ^^)
Allen Walker (D.Gray-man)is one of my favourite because I won my first cosplay competition with this cosplay.
On the other hand I love my Reith (Magna Carta) and Nico Robin (One Piece) costume very much because I had a wonderful photoshooting with a professional photographer. The photos were used for the AniNite Conbook 2010.
Or my Kurapika Cosplay. I love it because I had a partner cosplay with my boyfriend who cosplayed Hisoka (HunterxHunter)
Not to forget my Hollow Ichigo cosplay. it was a pain in the ass to wear because of the make-up but I had so much fun with my Bleach group that time. (and we had another nice photoshooting with to lovely photographers)
And there is still my Motochika Chosokabe costume. Oh my god, when I remember how stressfull this costume was. But I had a damn good time on the stage with my friends. And we won a place again at the cosplay competition.
AH! Katamari, I guess this one is my most favourite of all!!!
It was so much fun to wear, you couldn't see a bit, u felt so clumpsy and bulky with the big head but it was a great feeling.
Our cosplay performance was so amazing, everybody laught so much ^^ We were so flashy cuz we were 4 different Katamaris (I was Dipp).
Yupp I guess this one is definately my most favourite Cosplay of all!!
Hehe, but more cosplays will follow, so there might be another favourite cosplay ;D
How much do you typically spend per costume?
Again hard to say, because there are costumes with many details or more difficulty to sew. Some of them are ready in 3 days, and some need weeks. (especially when they have lots of weapons and stuff xD) When I went to college it was more easier too. I had more time to spent on my cosplays and to meet my friends to have a group crafting party xDD
Now that I have a full time job (40h) its getting really hard to work on my costumes.
Hmm so lets say 3 days to many many weeks
(depending on time, motivation, details and stuff)
